Faye McClain

On Christmas Day 1991 Faye spotted a classified ad for a Business Manager at Gethsemane Cemetery. She says “I met all of the qualifications and applied. On January 27, 1992 I began a job that became an unexpected career.” The position eventually evolved into Superintendent of Gethsemane and St. Patrick Cemeteries. Faye retired from that role in April 2013. However, she continues her service to Associated Catholic Cemeteries as the part-time Administrative Assistant in the President of Associated Catholic Cemeteries’ office. Faye loves to read. She is an avid reader of all types of books. A couple of her favorite authors are Rick Murcer and Jodi Picolt. When she isn’t reading, she is knitting. She is also fond of any form of “comfort food”: potatoes, bread, pasta, casseroles, hearty soups, etc. Driving along the Oregon Coast in any season is a favorite place for her to go, although she notes “visiting my family in Missouri is right up at the top.” Faye says that she loves working at ACC: “What a joy it has been to go to work for over nearly 3 decades and to continue to find it very fulfilling. I have been blessed.”
